Overview of Collection Permits for 19,232 Species in Peru

This document outlines the application process for collection permits in Peru, regulated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (MINAG). It covers the requirements for national herbaria across various regions, including Lima, Trujillo, Cajamarca, and others. The process involves submitting a research proposal, presentation letters for participants, and a CV, with a fee of 102 nuevos soles. Processing times can vary from 1 week to several years, depending on the permit type. You cannot collect from national parks without separate permits, and export permits have strict regulations regarding specimen retention in Peru.
