Capacity for strategic thinking • Competency area in which DCFOs believe the FI community requires the greatest improvement. • FI-03s and 04s are technically sound, but lack the behavioral competences required for good leaders, and in particular the capacity for strategic thinking, analysis and developing viable options.
“Active Career Management” Pilot • Selected FI-03s and FI-04s provided an EX level mentor. • Assigned on secondment in two different departments and, if possible, in financial services functions new to them. • Spend one year in each department experiencing a full cycle in each financial services function. • Return to home department.
