  3. What is the role that your system plays in the human body The role of the digestive system. It turns food into energy for the human body to use. The digestive system turns the food into energy by mechanically chewing and by chemically dissolving the food.

  4. What is the role that your system plays in the human body #2 The digestive system is a 9m long system that breaks up your different foods and sends it to different parts of the body where the energy is needed.

  5. What are the major organs that make up your system ? There are four major organs that make up the digestive system. Mouth: chews the food (mechanically) Esophagus: brings the food down Stomach: tears food apart(chemically) Anus: lets out solid wastes

  6. How do these organs work together These organs work together by starting from the top and working the way down. So first, the mouth chews up the food (mechanical) then the esophagus brings the food down to the stomach that (chemically) dissolves the food. Then it comes out as solid waste.

  7. How do these organs work together? #2 The basic way of saying how these organs work together is that this system gets the food that you eat and turns it into waste by going throw the digestive system and the mouth chewing it (mechanically) the stomach dissolves/ breaks apart the food (chemically).

  8. Explain how your system is connected to 2 other body systems The digestive system is connected to the nervous system and the other system is the Circulatory system. The circulatory pumps blood through the Repertory system. The nervous system controls all of the body.

  9. Levels of organization Levels of organization in Humans (Gallbladder) Small intestine Large intestine

  10. Mucosa Epithelial tissue 40x Epithelial tissue Epithelial tissue is a single layer of tall rectangular Epithelial cells. They are found on finger like sections of the mucosal lining called villi. Mucosa is the inner layer of the gallbladder. It lines the gallbladder with a simple columnar epithelial tissue.
