GPS: SS8H3- The student will analyze the role of Georgia in the American Revolution WORK SESSION: Group Topics: Preparing for War and Political Changes in Georgia, The Revolutionary War in Georgia ( Battle of Kettle Creek, Siege of Savannah), The Declaration of Independence, Blacks and the Spanish in the American Revolution, The Battle of Yorktown and Looking Back at the Revolutionary War. CLOSING:Reflection: If you had lived in Georgia in 1772, would you have been a Patriot or a Tory? Why? HOMEWORK:Question: What were the six groups that existed in the colonies in the pre-Revolutionary War period?
