2. Objective of the National Conference • Climate change will affect every aspect of society, environment and economy. Integration of climate change into development plans at the national and local levels is needed to respond well to the new challenging situation. • The conference aims to present climate change risks, and also adaptation measures to increase the resilience of ecosystems and livelihoods, identified under the project “Identification and implementation of adaptation response measures in Drini-Mati River Delta (DRMD)”, and to initiate a wide discussion about potential measures for implementation of adaptation measures. • The objective of the conference is to introduce to the participants the risk assessment pertaining to the area, identification of potential adaptation measures, their implementation costs and benefits, and ways of integrating climate change adaptation into development plans at local, regional and national levels and especially into the protected areas management plan.
