Campuswide Housing Implementation Team formed Fall 2007 President’s Cabinet created mandatory freshman residency policy with few exceptions Residence Hall opened Fall 2008 Full-time freshmen enrollment Fall 2007 – 483 Fall 2008 – 373 Fall 2009 – 375 Fall 2010 – 457 Fall 2011 – 454 Fall 2012 – 478 (expanded exemptions to include 6 zip codes near campus)
Enrollment Management Enrollment Management Initial Strategies to Improve Retention • Created learning communities and a first-year experience course in 2006 • Created Division of Enrollment Management & Academic Success • Created pre-made class schedules for all freshmen • Contacted freshmen who were not registered for second year • Conducted advising/registration sessions in residence hall • Offered tutoring in residence hall with little success • Revised Academic Standing policy to include Warning prior to Probation and Suspension
