In Isaiah 66:2, God highlights the importance of humility and a contrite spirit. As the Creator, He calls us to acknowledge our status as the created, reminding us that even Christ, deserving of all pride, chose humility (Philippians 2:1-11). Recognizing our mistakes and shortcomings is vital for genuine repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10-11). True repentance goes beyond appeasement; it involves a sincere desire to change. We must respect God's commandments wholeheartedly, examining ourselves daily and seeking to see ourselves as He sees us.
