Conclusion - Team Site & Document Libraries • The main deliverables of our project are: • Functioning central file-sharing solution. • Functioning mailserver. • Manage local domain users & configure security permissions. • Simple functioning network infrastructure. • Missed scope • Departments not divided into subnets • Total budget: Expected: $60,376.45 Actual: $56,529.80 Variance: +$3,846.65 - Microsoft Exchange 2016 -ActiveDirectory - Router, Switch & vSwitches
Recommendations • Cloud Computing (IaaS) • Better hardware • Better hardware support • Servers moved to the cloud = no longer have to manage infrastructure locally • Microsoft SharePoint Online • Cheaper • Office 365 & OneDrive friendly • 99.9% uptime due to Microsoft SLA [2] • Full Site collection functionality • Search tool, Help tool, send sms (short message service), and alerts
