  1. WIRES PROPOSAL Why does the TT wall have a deformation? Probably there are some mechanical tensions inside the TT wall itself. Those tensions have a vector component not only in the gravity direction: the structure of the TT isn’t strong enought to stay inside the nominal geometry position. If we can’t work easily on the structural rigidity, we have to reduce the horizontal component of the mechanical stress: a possible solution is to distribute the weight of the horizontal TT modules. The most simple points where pull the weight are the “crosillon”. My proposal is to pull by wires. Project Board, march 2005 E. Vanzanella

  2. WIRES PROPOSAL Each wire has to be tied at the bottom side to the both outside clamps of each “crosillon”, as shown in the picture. In this way the wire is centered between two vertical contiguous modules. Project Board, march 2005 E. Vanzanella

  3. WIRES PROPOSAL To have the wire as close as possible to the scintillator plane, it’s necessary the wire passes between two top end-caps. In this case there are not normal to plane load components: a little pressure is enought to modify the shape of the TT wall itself. Project Board, march 2005 E. Vanzanella

  4. WIRES PROPOSAL Next step, after installed the additive assemly structure, is to check the best pulling force to apply to each wire, in order to have the minimum deformation. Are needed some mesurements on the TT plane during the test.
