Comenius Multilateral School Partnerships: EU-Cology Project in Sofia, Bulgaria

The EU-Cology project in Sofia, Bulgaria, is part of the Lifelong Learning Programme, focusing on crucial environmental themes over a two-year duration. Recently, sixth-grade students created detailed maps of their surroundings, including flora and fauna, while seventh graders conducted inquiries into various environmental components and presented their findings. Each student participated in activities at the Our Comenius Corner, a space dedicated to collaboration and exploration. Excitingly, they are gearing up to tackle the next theme: Green Energy.

  3. The project lasts two years and it includes the following themes: Environment Green energy Recycling and cleaning Climate change Protection of nature During the last two months we worked on the first theme : • Environment

  4. Sixth grade pupils drew a detailed map of our surroundings which includes our schoolyard, streets, the nearest river and petrol station, different plants and animals. They have also studied the definition of ecology and presented it in ppt.

  5. Seventh grade pupils made inquiries and collected information about different components of the environment such as plants, animals, hydrology, climate, lay, soils, roads. They presented this information in ppt.
