  2. Obnoxious Animations Some teachers overuse animations in their PowerPoint presentations. Animations , though useful for transitions, can become very distracting and take away from the lesson.

  3. Poor Visibility It is important for a PowerPoint to be effective that students can read what is on each slide. Teachers should be sure to use font colors that stand out from the background to ensure each student can see the material.

  7. Sound Effects: An Earsore Sound Effects are a great way to grab your students’ attention. However, when overused they become irritating. Use them sparingly and also be careful which effect you choose.
