  4. Purpose of the site: The site is to show our target audiences our work, so they can know: • Where we started from • Why we started from there • The journey we took to getting to our finished products. Our journey: • What we’ve found out • what we achieve • Overall Purpose

  11. Colour • Colour selection of font is very important because different colours give a different feel. Consider the following: - • Red • Blue • Black • White • Green • According to the theme of the website, different colours can be used to build atmosphere in order to attract visitors.

Generally • Use of text formatting • Illustration of formatting: • Bold font • Italic font • Underline • Website design is primarily to attract a particular type of reader (a chosen market) • The selection Font should be on the basis of entirety idea of website and the requirements of visitor.

HTML • HTML is also known as Hypertext Mark-up Language. • Tim Berners-Lee began work on HTML in 1980. • HTML was first released in 1990 and in 1995 HTML 2.0 was released. • In 1999, HTML 4 was released and in 2000 the W3C made it the international standard for creating websites. • In 2005 development began on HTML 5, focussing on management of media on a webpageand eradicating the need for external plugins.

  19. CSS • CSS (or Cascading Style Sheets) • Handles media on a webpage better than HTML • A useful tool for developers. • CSS is a separate code

  20. jQuery • jQuery, is not a programming language! • jQuery is an external Javascript file • jQuery is more than just a library of code • Multi-browser compatible • Third parties host the jQuery file for developers to use • Many websites use jQuery • Example websites using jQuery: • http://bornin82.com/#/home • http://www.applift.com/
