  1. Energy Performance Progress Report Oconto Falls School District March 2012 Update

  2. Ameresco Update Introduction This presentation is designed to provide the Oconto Falls School District with a brief update of the project status and the improvements being implemented. Ameresco will be providing these monthly updates until the project is completed.

  3. Ameresco Update Executive Summary The Oconto Falls School District’s energy saving project is growing in construction tempo as we move into Spring. The interim energy cost savings for the 2012-13 FY will be generated largely from electrical savings since natural gas savings work (heating) will not be completed until building comfort heat has been shutdown for the season. The District’s energy savings benefit from this project is approximately $6,700 from an annual guaranteed savings of $137,400. Total construction costs incurred to date are approximately $738,000. Even though the project was approved by the School Board early last fall, project funding availability for this project became available in early December 2012. A number of the facility improvement measures, which were expected to be completed before cold weather set-in, were only partially completed with on going work resuming once warmer seasonal weather returns.(i.e. building envelope, window film). Finalization of water conservation work was also placed on hold rather than restricting student access to restrooms during plumbing/floor removal and replacement at Washington.

  4. Timeline

Ameresco Update - March • Activities • The Abrams Bell replacement and high school roof replacement work was completed before December • Kitchen Electrical Modifications have been completed • IT Solutions: Flat Panel Computer Monitors had been ordered but the District is considering alternative hardware

  6. Project Summary and Status

  7. Ameresco Update Percentages for Construction and Annual Savings % Energy Savings FY 2012-13: Savings is estimated based on = ((# of months since FIM completion/FY2012-13 months remaining ) x annual FIM costs savings)/annual Project savings

  8. Ameresco Update % Energy Savings FY 2012-13: Savings is estimated based on = ((# of months since FIM completion/FY2012-13 months remaining ) x annual FIM costs savings)/annual Project savings * Designates change in completion date from previous month

  9. Ameresco Update - Continued * Designates change in completion date from previous month % Energy Savings FY 2012-13: Savings is estimated based on = ((# of months since FIM completion/FY2012-13 months remaining ) x annual FIM costs savings)/annual Project savings

  10. Ameresco Update - March Bell / PA System Replacement STATUS: 50% Abrams Elementary - Complete Oconto Falls Elementary School – On Hold until summer break The replacement start date for the OFES PA system is being delayed to minimize potential disruption during the school year. As long as the existing system is functional, work will be completed at the start of summer break. The summer break timing will allow for multiple day outage and improved building access. Photo taken during installation Benefits/Results • School wide notification of activities and events • Capital Budget Savings
