January-June 2019 Highlights • Yamhill County remains “green” on CJC prison usage dashboard • 358 prison months diverted, a total of 2760 since inception • 131 total person diverted, only 35 revoked, only 11 with new crimes. • Largest prison savings state-wide in Short Term Transitional Leave • Pretrial average court appearance of 94% • Continued maintenance of approximately 35% pretrial jail population
Barriers • Pretrial staff turn over • Data collection, analysis and reporting • For both Defendant Assessment Report (DAR) and Pretrial Justice Programs
Successes • Automon Pretrial Information System • Contract signed, implementation kick off call scheduled for 7/29/19 • State-wide Pretrial Justice Network meeting quarterly • PSU pretrial study completed • Supported nationwide research that pretrial incarceration is correlated to severity of punishment imposed upon conviction
