  4. Cwmgelli Lodge - Background Site of former Ty Sirhowy building in Blackwood, Caerphilly. Early Project Team meetings with the Alzheimer’s Society, Younger People with Dementia, ABUHB, LA’s and Seren Group. Need identified for modernised accommodation and service matched to the needs of a younger community of people. Co-production with Grŵp Gwalia.

Building Design 24 units of self-contained accommodation, each comprising bedroom/lounge/kitchenette and en-suite Spacious lounges in an airy, open plan setting Assisted Spa Bathroom for residents relaxation Alzheimer’s Society Office Roof Terrace to First Floor Accommodation for health screening Café area leading to garden and The Cwtch The Cwtch, the social hub of Cwmgelli Lodge
