  17. Arbil is the biggest city of the Kurdish Autonomous Region, which is located in Northern Iraq and is the only tool of self-government the Kurdish people have.

  19. PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) is the main nationalist party, whick is currently illegal in Turkey. It has a parallel armed organisation, whick usually bears attacks against the Turkish army and whose members we can see in this photo.

  20. The Kurdish conflict remains forgotten by the main international organisations, even by the United Nations.
