Introduction This is your chance to venture out of the country and see what it is like ‘on the other side!’ This is your chance to plan a trip to Tokyo, Japan. We have been studying World War II and a major event during that time is when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Japan is culturally diverse and offers many museums based on their arts and historical events. So what’s the BIG QUESTION here? I want you to plan a class field trip to Tokyo Japan!
The task Your task is to build an itinerary for your class field trip. Start with answering these questions while you plan our trip to Tokyo. Remember to keep in mind that there are 30 people going on this trip and you need to accommodate everyone and keep in mind the costs. • What is the costs for round-trip tickets and a four night stay in the hotel room • What type of transportation is used and how much? • Food costs? (three meals a day)
The process Ok students, let’s take this step by step so that we don’t miss any important factors. I know that you guys want to have but we need to remember that we are here enhance our education. Now that we have an understanding of how this country operates lets move on to find what some of our options are that we want to visit. Maybe find out if it is possible that we can bring our own food as well. I think I am safe to say that not everyone likes sushi? Oh, here is a good idea, maybe we should find out where we want to stay. Evaluation This is where I’ll check for your understanding. I want to see how you used your resources to find information about the trip. I want to see if you spent a realistic amount of money. Did you take into account the Japanese culture? What places you picked and why? Compiling all of your information and putting it into a presentation to show the rest of your classmates would be a good decision. Tip: Follow this rubric and you should be in good shape!
Conclusion So do you fully understand what to do? Alright here we go, you guys are in charge of planning a class trip to Tokyo, Japan. Following the steps laid out for you, follow the websites and find out the necessary information needed to take 30 students out of the country. Then once you have researched all the necessary information, make an itinerary and compile all of your information into a presentation to present to your classmates. Have fun with this and feel free to step out of the box, I want to see your creativity. I think it would be fun to go to a restaurant that only serves sushi so that everyone can taste and have the experience.
