  2. John 3:16-17For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

  3. 17 For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

  4. I. GOD’S PROMISE TO SAVE A. It is an OLD Promise

  5. Revelation 13:8All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

  6. 1 Peter 1:20He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

  9. B. It Is an ONGOING PromiseJohn 5:24“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life,

  10. and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

  20. II. GOD’S POWER TO SAVE A. He Has the Power to CALL the Sinner

  31. 1 John 3:1-2Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

  32. 2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

  43. III. GOD’S PROVISION TO SAVEA. He Provided a PRECIOUS Substitute

  48. B. He Provided a PERFECT SacrificeHebrews 9:24-28For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true,

  49. But into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another--

  50. 26 He would then have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
