3. The American Legion is a patriotic veterans organization devoted to helping veterans, service members and communities. They are the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization. Legionnaires' sense of obligation to community, state and nation drives an honest advocacy for veterans in Washington. 7. “Youth for the Legion” is a statewide campaign created to utilize new membership in the American Legion Auxiliary. Throughout April 1, 2013 to September 30, 2013 this campaign will be implemented throughout major universities and colleges in Washington. “Youth for the Legion”

8. The goal of the “Youth for the Legion” campaign is to create a presence statewide of the younger generation. This campaign was created to raise awareness of the American Legion, what this organization does for its country, and how other can become involved. Overall this program plans to increase membership of the younger generation of veterans and families of veterans. Goal
