  3. THRASH METAL Extensamente es visto como el más orientado por figura rítmistica de todos los sub-géneros del METAL. Es generalmente aceptado que esto nació en 1981, aunque algunas bandas tuvieran thrash riffs y otras ideas   antes de esto. La primera figura rítmica es BLACK SABBATH ' 'Symptom of the Universe' (1975) es posiblementela primera  figura rítmica de thrash aunque su ' 'Into the Void' (1971) ' (1971) fuera influyente también. Judas Priest  de los pioneros  del  SPEED METAL  tenía unas ideas thrash  sobre su Clase Stained Class LP (1978), incluyendo la figura rítmica de contrapunto punkish sobre ' Santos en el Infierno ' 'Saints in Hell ' 'White Heat, Red Hot' '. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6_zsJ8KPP0&feature=fvst
