Going Forward • IPv6 Forum Downunder is commencing operation in Australia as a SIG of ISOC-AU • ISOC-AU provide support for admin, logistics, web services, mailing lists and discussion forums. • Membership of ISOC-AU constitutes membership of IPv6 Forum Downunder…so join! • IPv6 Forum Downunder is affiliated directly with the World Wide IPv6 Forum and the other chapters, such as an IPv6 Forum affiliates in New Zealand, Korea, China, Japan etc.

  2. Summit Initiatives • IPv6 DNS test bed • IPv6 Promotion Council • Cooperative ventures such as www.w2cog.org • DCITA welcome offers of support • AGIMO identifying that IPv6 is now on the radar • Australian DoD

  3. IPv6 Forum Road Map • The President of the IPv6 Forum supports the development of a national road map that identifies the goals, timeframes and the mechanisms to progress national adoption of IPv6. • ISOC-AU and the IPv6 Forum Downunder will cooperate in driving the production of a national IPv6 Road Map. • We’ll develop a definition of what this means as the initial activity!

  4. Road Map Development • What do YOU want from the Forum? • ISOC-AU/IPv6 Forum Downunder will drive the creation of the Road Map over the next 6 months…targeting publication of the widely agreed consensus on July 1, 2006. • There are 5 Road Maps representing the 5 basic constituencies: • Corporate Australia • 3 levels of Government(s) • Research/Academia • ISP/Carriers • End Users (Domestic and SMEs)

  5. Road Map Agenda • Call for participation • Research similar global initiatives…learn from Korea, Japan etc. • Establish online forum to exchange views and document inputs • Come together (2 days in Canberra at the end of January ’06?) • Progress the work plan as agreed.
