Marketing To return to main slide, please click here. • Put organization meetings and events in the HOWL, on the LED boards, on posters, etc. • Use materials in the SOLAR room (paper, paint, etc.) to create unique marketing approaches that stand out • Be strategic about where you promote your events (consider your audience)

Manage Fiscal Resources • Know your organization’s account number • Know your organization’s account balance and how to access it • Have your advisor complete a Computer Resource Application to have access to viewing your budget • Volunteer for concessions dates to raise funds for events/activities, etc. • Learn about the SOF grant policies and apply for grants to support your efforts To return to main slide, please click here.

  8. Membership • Set up a table at the annual Student Involvement and Employment Festival held the first Wednesday of classes each Fall semester • Ask professors if you can give a brief speech in your classes about your organization if it’s related to the course content • Set up a table at Pi Day (March 14th) • Attend various organization trainings to let other leaders know about your organization and its mission • Put information in the HOWL about your meeting times • Post posters about your organization • Offer prizes/incentives/food for members to attend meetings • Set up a table in the OUC at anytime to put your name out there To return to main slide, please click here.

  9. Respect, Honesty, Integrity, and Equity • Invite the Director of Diversity and Inclusion to your meeting to discuss issues of sexual harassment, etc. • Encourage open dialogue of how to create an open community in your group • Use campus and organization resources responsibly • Do not engage in bullying, hazing, or other forms of excluding behaviors To return to main slide, please click here.
