Empowering Students Through Sustainability Initiatives: UIC-SURF Chapter Overview

The UIC-SURF chapter, led by team members Bala Yamini Sadasivam, Erin Yargicoglu, Reshma A. Chirakkara, and Rajiv Giri, aims to promote sustainability among students and academic personnel. Our objectives include expanding the chapter's reach and encouraging diverse participation in sustainability initiatives both on and off-campus. Upcoming steps involve organizing field trips and seminars to illustrate sustainable engineering practices. We have successfully established our chapter, conducted workshops, and hosted seminars with distinguished speakers. We seek support in promoting our initiatives and inviting speakers from the sustainable remediation industry for future events.
