About HPECHU cont.Mission • The HPECHU’s mission is to give the people of the Hastings and Prince Edward Counties the resources and knowledgeable experts that will help them protect themselves from diseases and different injuries • They provide a online database as well, so that adults and teens can look up different ways to prevent the spread of diseases, and to prevent injury.

Why is it Important? • The HPECHU gives people the ability to find clinics that can help with medical problems they may be facing, along with help clinics such as: quitting smoking and sexual health • If the HPECHU was not in effect, the residents of all the counties that it provides too would not have a reliable source, near by to them, to which they can get health and safety tips. • Parents can also get information on different topics involving their children and themselves.
Funding • The HPECHU is funded by the Ontario Provincial Government. • The provincial government also funds some of the vaccines that the HPECHU gives out to the residents of the counties.
