  1. First tests of the PCB PPS board in Ar/CO2 at 780 mmHg, gas flow Test of PDP panel with Ar/CO2 7% Yan,meni, erez, dan Feb 1, 2011

  2. Sunday: fill box with gas mixture Increase HV to ~1100 first pulses seen. Fast, clean. But no source available. Flow gas thru box overnight Next day: discharges at 950, sparking- and sustained disharge. Increase Rq to 25 M See only spark type discharges.

  3. Monday: • Observed discoloration around sparking pixel. • can get to work in any sense of the term • Work with PPS PDP panel at 1 atmAr/CO2 • Make several measurements that showed conclusively that the panel responds to the SR-90 source. Hit rate and background increase with HV- until background starts to become very high (~ 4KHZ) on one pixel • Tuesday : inspect PCB board: pixels are damaged, white discoloration of the green PCB. Electrodes look very rough around edges. • Discharge appears to be across the surface. Probably greatly affected by the surface. • Move to un-dammaged pixel, try again • Can see signle pulses, but most are in large numbers
