  3. I. The exampleof Jesus. • The motivation for His daily activities. 1. Pleasing His Father – Jn. 6:38; 8:29. 2. Serving those He created – Mt. 20:25-28.

  4. B. The nature of His service. 1. It was humble service - John 13:4,5. 2. It was sacrificial service – Matthew 20:28. 3. It was leadership service – John 10:4; 13:14-16; Lk. 22:27.

  5. C. Todiscipline your activity requires following the example of Jesus. 1. You were created to glorify God not to serve self – Isa. 43:7; Rev. 4:11. 2. You were recreated to become more like Christ – Rom. 8:28,29.

  6. 3. Becoming more like Christ means greater service and productivity – Jn. 15:8. 4. The service in this life prepares for the eternal service in heaven– Rev. 22:3.

  7. II. A godly leader applies biblical priorities to determine his most productive service. A. Your motivation for all you do is to please God and become more like Christ - 2 Cor. 5:9; Romans 8:28,29. B. Serve your wife by being a godly husband - 1 Pet. 3:7; Eph. 5:25.

  8. C.Serve your children by being a godly father – Eph. 6:4; 1 Tim. 3:4,5,12. D. Serve your church by being a godly, involved member - 1 Tim. 3:4,5,12; Jn. 13:34,35. E. Serve at your work by being a godly employee - Eph. 6:5-9; Col. 3:22-25.

  9. F. Serve with your personal time as godly man - Mark 1:35; Mark 6:31. Conclusion 1. God is still looking for godly leaders as He was in Ezekiel 22:30. 2. God is challenging you to make some choices as he did in Deuteronomy 30:19 and Joshua 24:14.
