OVERSEAS EXCHANGE: Should the school continue with the new selection system in preference to selection based on merit, as determined by the relevant teaching staff and interview panel Should the school replace the overseas exchange programme with a local exchange that includes a larger number of boys. Total respondents: 583 73.4% disagree that the overseas exchange programme should be changed to a local exchange. 26.6% think this should be replaced by a local exchange. Total respondents: 385 68.3% think the new selection system is good.

  29. Question 13 – The traffic flow around the school is highly undesirable. If possible, please propose an alternative solution to our current traffic flow during the morning and afternoon drop-off and pick-up periods. • Implement a drive-through on Campground Rd (existing infrastructure) for those of us who just wish to drop and go and not park. • Encourage more people to park on the empty piece of ground near Bishops and walk across the road to collect their kids. • Start / finish grades at different times • Approach council to convert Campground into Rouwkoop a one-way towards the mountain. • Organise lift clubs • Allocate grades to different drop off areas away from campus and possibly stagger drop off times • Parking for FP parents in school grounds • Open lane in front of school that has been blocked off • Create drive through at Grade 7 playground by putting a gate at off ramp near hall side, strictly stop and go, no parking before 8am and after 2:15 for half and hour. • RBPS “Jamie Shuttle” bus for Bosch area. • Suburb based lift schemes, common pickup point in morning • Campground and Sandown: If robot can be set to have the green man for longer (at the moment about 15 seconds) and possibly a traffic person at the crossing, it would be safer and parents who walk to their children’s classes, especially FP, could be encouraged to park here • School bus system • Overhead pedestrian bridge • Rouwkoop Road drop and go in mornings • School parking area should be open • Rouwkoop one way during peak times • Older children should walk away from school and be collected up or down the road • Traffic officials to issue fines • Make 2-way stop at Glebe Road a 4-way stop
