  4. Political • Sweatshops caused many human rights activists to get involved and speak out against Nike.

  5. Legal • Kasky v. Nike court case ended in a $1.5 million settlement. • Kasky filed suit due to worker conditions in Southeast Asia. • The settlement involved investments by Nike to strengthen workplace monitoring and factory worker programs.
