  1. Mission 24/7 Re-building the walls of the city

  2. Objectives • 1000 Churches praying 24/7 • 12 Night & Day Prayer Watches • 250 Prayer Missionaries

  3. … If My people … “If My people, who are called by My name… turn from their wicked ways…” (IIChron.7:14)

  4. … turn from your ways … … break up your fallow ground (1), for it is the time to seek the LORD (2), that He may come and rain righteousness upon you. (3) (Hosea 10:12)

  5. Revival A renewed conviction of sin and repentance, followed by an intense desire to live in obedience to God. It is giving up one’s will to God in deep humility. (Charles Finney)

  6. … turn from your ways … Definition: “repent” • to sigh, to be sorry (Heb “nacham”) Gen.6:6; Ex.13:17; Job42:6; Jonah3:10 • to turn back (Heb “shuwb”) IKi 8:47; Ez.14:16 • regret (Heb “nocham”) Hos.13:14 • compassion (Heb “nichum”) Hos.11:8

  7. … turn from your ways … • to change the mind or attitude for better (Gr. “metanoeo”)Luke13:3 • regret result of sin, not the cause (Gr. “metamellomai”) Mt.27:3; IICor.7:8 • real change of mind and attitude towards sin (Gr. “metanoia”)Mt.3:8,11; Mt.9:13; Lk.24:47 • irrevocable (Gr. “ametameletos”) Rom.11:29; IICor.7:10

  8. … turn from your ways … Proof of repentance required Mat 3:8 Bear fruit in keeping with repentance. Luk 3:8 Bear fruits in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham. Act 26:20 … that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.

  9. … turn from your ways … Sins of omission … our neglect. • Ingratitude Psa 106:1 Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Confess lost opportunities where you neglected giving thanks to God. Be encouraged by new mercies you find as you remember the old ones!

  10. … turn from your ways … • Lack of love for God Exo 20:5 …, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, … Consider the grieving over lost affection in your closest relationship, how does it make you feel? Have you given your heart to other loves and infinitely offended Him?

  11. … turn from your ways … • Neglecting your Bible reading Psa 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Intentionally reading large portions of the Bible on a regular basis with understanding and faith brings understanding to take solid decisions according to God’s will.

  12. … turn from your ways … • Neglect of Prayer Mar 11:17 …, "Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations'? …" Consider your time spent in different levels of prayer: (a) secret prayer, (b) family prayer, and (c) prayer meetings. Consider your motives in prayer – why do you pray? To be heard/seen? What do you spend most of your time thinking or doing?

  13. … turn from your ways … • Poor spiritual attitude Praying with a lack of feeling (heart involvement) or faith (just a lifeless chatter of empty words).

  14. … turn from your ways … • Lack of love for the souls of men 2Co 13:11 Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfortone another, agreewith one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. Eph 4:2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, … Consider the way you live with your family, friends, colleagues.

  15. … turn from your ways … • Lack of concern for unbelievers Consider the following: • How often do you pray for a lost person or nation? • Are you open to befriend a person from another religion?

  16. … turn from your ways … • Hypocrisy Are you offended by poverty? Are you offended by the wealth of people? Consider your attitude towards: • Giving to the poor (Mat.6:2) • Praying in secret (Mat.6:5) • Fasting in secret (Mat.6:16)

  17. … turn from your ways … • Neglect to watch over fellow believers Do you act when you see someone falling into sin? Do you distance yourself, or help?

  18. … turn from your ways … Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. I Pet.4:8 ** Food for thought ** How many sins have been covered in your life, today?

  19. … turn from your ways … Repentance A series of acts, driven by an all consuming desire to know and to love God!
