Kerala Tourism has come out with its new international campaign. SIGHTSEEING SPOTS AT COCHIN The commercial and industrial capital of Kerala has one of the finest natural harbors in the world. This city is the home to the oldest synagogue in the Common wealth as well as numerous old churches and temples. FORT KOCHI BEACH A hike along the beach particularly at the sunset with the Chinese fishing nets and sailing ships in the background is a memorable experience.

  4. ST.FRANCIS CHURCH, FORT KOCHI It is the oldest church built by the Europeans in India. On his third stay in Kerala, Vasco Da Gama the Portuguese trader who reached India from Europe by sea route fell ill and died in Kochi. He was cremated in the St. Francis church and later his remains were taken back to Portugal. SIGHTSEEING SPOTS AT THEKKADY Thekkady is one of India’s most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuaries, where you can observe wildlife at close scale. PLANTATION TOWERS Thekkady is well known for cardamom, coffee and pepper plantations. Also visit Vandanmedu located 25kms from Kumily which is one of the largest auction centers for cardamom.

  5. PERIYAR LAKE It is an adorable experience to take a boat cruise or bamboo boat ride along the Periyar Lake. If you are a sharp spectator you might get a chance to notice the spotted tigers, playful elephants or red eyed bison. This is one of the major tourist attractions in Thekkady. PERIYAR NATIONAL PARK The Periyar national park is famous for its different species of flora and fauna. The national park which is also a Tiger Reserve is the home for a number of animals like Gaur, Sambar, Barking Deer, Mouse deer and Indian wild dog. One can also enjoy the experience of different types of Safaries.
