The projectisorganised, guided and managed by POLISH CHESS FEDERATION in cooperation with the 16 provincialchessfederations and localauthorities • The goalis to increasemathematicalprimaryskillsamongchildren in the classes 1 – 3 in primaryschools • Implementation in 2013 – 152schools • Schools – nearly1.300(March2019) • Teachers – over3.800 • Pupils – over 150.000

  3. How doesitwork in POLAND? Declaration of voluntaryaccess: • compulsory classes • in at least one class of early education • for the minimum of one hour per week • for at least two years • teachers with a certificate of completion the 72-hour course • descriptive assessment of the activities of chess • participation of students in the evaluation of the project.

  5. PROGRAMM of training – basiccourses Three parts: • basics of chessplay - 24 hours • aftereverychesslesson – chessplaying in practice – 8 hours • metodology of chessteaching in earlyeducation – 24 hours • tournamentorganization and the tournament for the teachers – 16 hours

  6. Complementarycourses for theachers 16-hours coursesorganized by the Polish Chess Federation in differentcities in Poland PCF takesintoconsiderationspecialneeds of the teachers

Qualifications Chess tournament for the teachers – 6 rounds P’30 Nationalcategories – V – rating 1200 and IV – rating 1400 (men) Aftergetting the IV category – title of School Chess Instructorconfirmed by the specialcertificateissued by Polish Chess Federation Everyyearspecial, prestigeousaward „HETMAN – Nauczyciel Roku” for the bestteacher of the Project
