On March 19, 1860, after its registration under the Society Registration Act, an independent education board for Delhi was established. Initiatives by the Government during the Pandemic The deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, announced the reopening of the schools and education institutes in a phased manner from September 1. However, he insisted on the approval of their parents. Parents' consent was made a compulsory requirement for students to attend classes. Online classes were to continue too. The 2nd General Body meeting of DBSE and SoSE was presided over by Mr. Sisodia. It was decided that the DBSE (Delhi Board of School Education) will be affiliated with around 30Delhi Government schools in 2021-22. This year around 20 Schools with Specialised Excellence and ten general schools were planned to be established. Schools in Delhi are known for the high standard of education and facilities provided to the students. As a result, private schools have produced great talent.
