  1. School Education in Delhi Delhi, being the national capital territory, has some of the finest schools. The top schools in Delhi are among the best in India. The curriculum in India is extensive. It is assessed by different boards of exams. They are the CBSE and the CISCE. Schools play a major role in building a solid foundation for children. The schools have many exclusive resources. Some features which make them distinct are: ●Smart classes with audio-visual techniques. ●Sports facilities (football fields, skating rinks), swimming pools of Olympic size, gymnasium, computer-assisted techniques of teaching. ● Libraries. ● Health Clinics. ●Security & Disaster management techniques. The Different Educational Boards in India The schools in Delhi are managed by the government and private schools. There are three educational boards with which they are affiliated, namely, the CBSE (Central Board for Secondary Education), the CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations), and the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling ). The Union Government of India manages and controls the CBSE board. It is the largest educational board in India. Most of the top schools of Delhi are affiliated with the CBSE syllabus. The Education System in Delhi Schools The educational levels at school comprise pre-primary, primary, secondary, and senior secondary. The state bodies take pre-primary and primary education, whereas the middle, secondary, and senior secondary by the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi. Several private schools also receive grants from the government. In addition, registered trusts run recognized unaided schools.

  2. Government Schools in Delhi Government schools in Delhi give good competition to private schools. These government schools are not exposed much to mainstream coverage. But that is changing. The government schools of Delhi have performed well despite the tight budgets and limited facilities. Under the chairmanship of the education minister of Delhi, a governing body supervises the board’s coordination and governance. On March 19, 1860, after its registration under the Society Registration Act, an independent education board for Delhi was established. Inclusive Education Education plays a vital role in the integral development of an individual. It helps the citizens to understand their rights and duties and hence contributes to the development of the nation. Yet, there are very few schools that have inclusive education. Educating children with special needs and minorities contributes to the development of a progressive society. For e.g., The Shri Ram School, Delhi, is known as one of the top schools in India, and it provides inclusive education. Initiatives by the Government during the Pandemic The deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, announced the reopening of the schools and education institutes in a phased manner from September 1. However, he insisted on the approval of their parents. Parents' consent was made a compulsory requirement for students to attend classes. Online classes were to continue too. The 2nd General Body meeting of DBSE and SoSE was presided over by Mr. Sisodia. It was decided that the DBSE (Delhi Board of School Education) will be affiliated with around 30Delhi Government schools in 2021-22. This year around 20 Schools with Specialised Excellence and ten general schools were planned to be established. Schools in Delhi are known for the high standard of education and facilities provided to the students. As a result, private schools have produced great talent. Hence, the students who study in the top schools of Delhi have bright career prospects and have excelled in academics and extracurricular activities.
