On-Street Parking • Generally controlled through the use of single or double yellow lines and marked or unmarked parking bays • Yellow lines limit on-street parking to certain times shown on nearby time plates (or zone entry signs if in a Controlled Parking Zone) • Regulations allow vehicles to park in a marked or unmarked bays, under conditions, such as purchasing a pay and display voucher, or through the use of a displayed permit (resident, disabled, taxis, car club). • Small signs mounted adjacent to bays identify allowed users and times. Securing On-Street Parking • TRO process includes drafting the orders, consultation /advertising, and signing / marking bays. • Process can cost up to £2,000 and process can take from 8 months to 3 years to complete. • Can be funded Air Quality Action Plan (Glasgow) grant funding and Section 75 contributions (Edinburgh).
