  5. Store Coupons • Target website • Meijer MPerks • Extra Care Bucks—CVS • Kroger—(load e-coupons and digital coupons to Kroger card, shortcuts, snail mail coupons, cellfire) • Walgreens—Balance Rewards

Use coupons wisely • Check websites/blogs for current deals • Check website coupon database for current coupons • Connect with others that coupon • Combine coupons with sales (stock up during this time) • Combine store and manufacturer coupons (stacking) • Combine coupons with clearance items. Typically, stores have clearance areas. • Shop where coupons can be doubled. For example, Kroger, Meijer • Know prices, compare unit prices

  7. Use coupons wisely • Read the coupon closely. Does it specify a size or say “any”? How many do you have to buy? • Read the ad closely. Read the fine print. Often other sizes than those listed are included in a sale. • Watch for special promotions (mega deals, buy 10 get 1 free, back to school specials, etc.) • Plan meals based on what is on sale, what you have coupons for and what you have stockpiled. • Know store policies. • Use coupons wisely—Sale price+coupon+promotional deal+rebate=great savings

  8. Use coupons wisely • Get a raincheck if item is out of stock • Get organized before you go shopping, not in the store • Always be on the look out for coupons • Don’t try to do it all in the beginning, start slow, it will come • Never photocopy a coupon

  13. Requires a CVS Card • Face value on coupons • Many items will have Extra Care Buck’s (ECB’s) • Extra Care Bucks will print at bottom of receipt • CVS coupons can be combined with manufacturers coupons • There is a limit of how many items with Extra Care Buck’s you can purchase • Extra Care Buck’s can be used to purchase the same item again and still receive Extra Care Bucks as long as you have not reached the limit of items • You can use coupons, both store and manufacturers, to purchase items qualifying for Extra Care Bucks
