Registration & Email Awareness

All staff and students are invited to join the library! To register, bring your Student ID card to the library counter and provide your details to our staff. As a member, you can borrow up to 8 items for a month, and 2 CDs/DVDs for a week. Late returns incur fines: 8p per day for general stock, 20p per day for weekly loans. Renew your items in person, by phone at 01254 354041, or via email through the Virtual Library. Remember to check your college email for overdue notices and potential voucher prizes!

  1. Registration & Email Awareness

  2. All staff and students are eligible to join the library and to do so you must: • Bring along your Student ID card to Library+ • Register your details at the counter with the library staff

  3. Once you are a member you may borrow: • Up to 8 items for up to a month at a time • CD/DVD’s for up to a week – but only a maximum of 2 items at any one time

  4. If you are late returning your books you will be charged fines which are calculated: • General stock – 8p per item per day • Weekly loans, including CD/DVD’s – 20p per item per day But to avoid the fines ………………

  5. Renewals Your resources may be renewed: • In person in Library+ • By telephone – on 01254 354041 (24 hours) • By e-mail through the Virtual Library

  6. To renew by e-mail Log onto the Library+ Helpdesk

  7. …..then Send us a message through the ‘helpdesk’ on the Virtual Library

  8. …….please provide Click ‘Enter Online Library’ and ‘login’ • Your name and student ID number • Details of the resources you wish to renew

  9. Your College email account • All students are assigned their own college email accounts • You need to check your emails regularly for overdue books/dvd/cd notices as these are only sent via email.

  10. Are you a winner? • We have randomly awarded 10 vouchers of £5 to spend in the library shop and have notified the winners by email. • Why not check your college email account today to see if you’ve won!

  11. Logging in Log into It’s Learning and click on College Email

  12. Username - student\00001111(your personal students number)Password – your normal college password(same one as logging onto the PC’s)
