Promotion Requirements • A ninth grade (Freshman) student must earn 6 units to be promoted to grade ten. • A tenth grade (Sophomore) student must have a total of 13units to be promoted to grade eleven. • An eleventh (Junior) grade student must have a total of 20units to be promoted to grade twelve. • A twelfth grade (Senior) student must earn 28credits to graduate.

Functions, or Pre-Calculus (honors) Pre-Calculus → Honors Discrete Math & AP Statistics or Topics in Calculus & AP Calculus ** This is just recommendation – talk to your math teacher or counselor if student/parent choice is different

  11. A list of public universities in NC and the minimum requirements you must have to be considered for admission! Collegiate sports teams you can participate on – if admitted!

  12. Virtual Courses • Apex – 9th -12th grade (Retaking a Course for credit) – depends on the course (cannotbe Exit Standards - Eng. II, Alg. I, Bio) - * see Counselor • NCVPS – 10th-12th grade – student must pay for textbooks & if taking any AP courses, should know they are year-long and only one credit • College & Career Promise : online or CVCC campus –11th-12th grade - HS & College credit • College & Career Promise: CTE- 11th-12th grade – HS & College credit (on CVCC or MHS Campus)

CVCC Classes – Cut Scores To be eligible for enrollment, a high school student must meet the following criteria: • Be a high school junior or senior; • Have a weighted GPA of 3.0 on high school courses; and • Demonstrate college readiness on an assessment in English, reading and mathematics: PLAN, PSAT, SAT, ACT, Compass, Accuplacer, or Asset

  17. Monday, March 10th - Friday, March 22ndin the Seminar Room Registration Schedule for Rising 10th, 11th, & 12th graders You must have your registration sheet signed by a parent to register.
