Housekeeping Items • I should have emphasized on Tuesday that Vienna’s role as a musical hearth and magnet is obviously related to its long tenure as the capital of the Austro-Hungarian empire with its wide array of subject peoples. • Today we will have four presentations from Kim, Sarah, Tomson, and Dan and I would also like to start signing people up for their mini-presentations on their final projects. Next week we will discuss music and social change. • I would also like to confirm when the following people will do their genre presentations: Ryan, Jennifer, and Nicole.
