  1. SPS wirescanner measurements present status and issues - update H. Bartosik – 24.10.2012 Acknowledgements: K. Cornelis, J. Emery, A. Guerrero, G. Iadarola, V. Kain, M. Kuhn, Y. Papaphilippou, J. Ridewood

  2. New issue with 416-V on flat top • Since 18th October • Large asymmetric tails for some shots • Profiles not reproducible • In general large emittance measured (typical >2.7μm) with same settings which usually gave 0.8μm while LHC still measures 1.7μm • Wire heating … new? (under investigation by Jonathan)

  3. Routine measurements for LHC filling • Now (TURN-ACQU) measurements are done on flat bottom • Very reproducible • Results agree well with LHC values for both planes, IN and OUT

  4. Bunch-by-Bunch measurements 50ns • Seems to work now for 50ns beam (4 batches) on flat top • Offline analysis is still required (subtraction of strong noise from baseline) • Results agree reasonably well with LHC • Filter 6 seems to work better than filter 7 (steel plate) • Gain close to 900V
