Crying Out By: Michelle Church

In "Crying Out," Michelle Church delves into the haunting voices of the past. The shadows call, their stories echoing through suffocating walls, demanding remembrance. As melancholic pictures and desperate souls converge, the weight of forgotten names becomes unbearable. The narrative captures the struggle of recognizing the history etched in pain and loss—too many names slaughtered, too many shattered lives crying out for acknowledgment. This poignant piece implores us not only to remember but also to honor those silenced by time.

  1. Crying Out By: Michelle Church The shadows are calling to me. Screeching, moaning, telling their stories. The walls are enclosing me. Suffocating, circling, forcing me to stare at them. The pictures are yelling for me. Mocking, haunting, forcing me to remember their names. The people are tearing at me. Praying, weeping, not understanding what I can do for them. The confusion is unrecognizable to me. Trying, willing so hard to remember, but there are too many names. Too many names slaughtered, Too many names forgotten, Too many names crying out.
