Young People • E2E programmes (combination of basic and vocational skills) – 61 in West London • Princes Trust (basic skills and project based) – based in Acton, Southall and QPR – 8 teams per annum • ESF contract to support students who are “NEET” (40 students, 11 in LBE) These programmes lead to employment (apprenticeships) or higher level programmes • Apprenticeships (mainly construction)
ESOL/Literacy and Numeracy • Courses at all levels Pre-entry to level 2 on all three Ealing sites • Pre-entry (no knowledge) through to Level 2 • Entry 2 – most basic level for employment • Entry 3 – ideal minimum level But • Level 1 is seen as the target level • Core funding for below Level 1 reducing • Higher demand for “lower level” programmes (especially at Southall and Acton)
