Join us for a transformative peer learning activity focused on developing strategic visions for Human Resource Development (HRD) in the EU enlargement region. From May 21-23, 2014, in Malta, participants will explore foresight methodologies, share experiences, and collaborate on innovative strategies for HRD policies. Key objectives include enhancing regional dialogue, refining foresight approaches, and identifying opportunities for training and capacity building. This unique journey into the future aims to integrate foresight into educational and policy-making processes for effective regional development.

Objectives of the Visit • Overall objective: • enhancing regional dialogue and cooperation among the countries on HRD policies to develop a regional response to the South East Europe 2020 Strategy, and improving coordination with international and regional players • developing the basis for sharing and harmonising approaches and results thereby facilitate learning across components and countries. • Specific objectives: • Reviewing and benchmarking our foresight experiences with local experiences • Refining the Foresight approach: from methodology to context to implementation and brainstorming possible follow-up • Identifying regional opportunities – training, capacity-building, projects.
Objectives of the Visit • How can foresight be adapted effectively to different contexts to enhance traditional learning activity and the policy co-design process? • The contexts we explore today: • University of Malta – investing in the people - how foresight approaches have been successfully integrated into the Masters Programme drawing on learning from an EU project; an ERASMUS project on innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship and foresight, and students carry out mini-foresight assignments in teams. • MITA – co-designing effective policy and programmes - foresight has been embedded in different strategies which this agency undertakes relating to the digital agenda and eSkills. • Lisa, our guest speaker, has experience as an individual expert/researcher in this area, having worked on diverse European foresight and R&I policy projects, integrating experiences and insights between the two.
