Viet Nam AIDC

This update outlines the current status of the AIDC implementation for ATM systems in Vietnam. The Ho Chi Minh City (HCM) and Hanoi systems are progressing with specific version availability and testing phases. Ongoing collaboration includes bilateral agreements and testing with Singapore. Notably, there are observations regarding the missing ODF-3 fields in ACP and REJ messages, which have caused message rejections. HCM's ATMS has been updated to comply with these requirements, and testing for ODF-3 is scheduled for July 29.

  2. AIDC Implementation • Status • HCM - AIDC – available for current ATM System Ver1 • HaNoi – AIDC - available for current ATM System Ver 3 • Conduct test with Singapore – ongoing • Conduct test between HaNoi and HCM • Bi-lateral agreement between HCM and HaNoi- ongoing

  3. Observation: Missing ODF, Option 3 (ODF-3) field • ODF-3 • A field in AFTN message header • Contains reference information of the previously sent data • ICD did not indicate this is a compulsory field

  4. Observation: Missing ODF, Option 3 (ODF-3) field • Compulsory ODF-3 in ACP and REJ • SIN ATMS rejected HCM’s ACP and REJ messages with missing ODF-3 in HCM messages • Subsequently, HCM ATMS updated software to send ACP and REJ messages with ODF-3

  5. Observation: Missing ODF, Option 3 (ODF-3) field • HoChiMinh and Singapore will test ODF3 on 29 –July (after the Meeting)
