The cost of Iraq War • -The Iraq War has no exceeded over 2 trillion dollars when the Pentagon adamantly insisted that the war would cost only about 50 Billion. • -Cost to eliminate poverty across the world, 135 Billion a year • -Cost to achieve universal literacy, 5 Billion a year • -Cost to immunize every child against deadly diseases, 1.3 Billion of year • Cost of ensuring developing countries have enough money to fight the AIDS epidemic, 15 Billion per year

  3. Death Toll for the Iraq war • Total Iraqi deaths as a result of conflict, 1,421,933. • Total American deaths as a result of conflict in Iraq, 4,430(3,510 soldiers) with 36,395 wounded.

  4. Saddam Hussein • Was the President/dictator of Iraq from 1979 to 2003. • Was forced out of office in 2003 when the US invaded Iraq • On December 13th, 2003, Saddam was captured by the US military while hiding in a hole at a farmhouse. • He was executed December 30th, 2006
