  3. The Problem? Trash!

  4. City of Pittsburgh Rules All trash must be in cans with snug lids (prevents overflows, decreases litter, deters wildlife intrusion, and provides a cleaner, safer Pittsburgh). If you can see trash bags (not on trash day), it's illegal. Trash may be set out after 6PM the night before trash pick-up day.

  7. Zones Partition the South Side Slopes Focus on trouble areas Insure that each area of the Slopes has visibility Current audit of each area Track progress in each area

  8. How can you help? Store your trash properly Participate in clean-ups Sign up for updates on your zone Take a clip Earn a sticker

  9. What's Next? Reach out to Landlords Reach out to Schools (including Pittsburgh Public Schools and local Universities) Contact local businesses Continue communication with Clean PGH Commission Collaboration with the South Side Flats
