Where? • Monday, October 6th – Check in by 10:30AM • Kick-off at 11:00am • Day One ends by 5:00pm • Reception, Networking, and Conversation with the Cabinet • Tuesday, October 7th • Day 2 kick-off at 9am • Ends at 3:00pm • Sacramento at the Sheraton Grand Hotel • 1230 J St, Sacramento, CA 95814

Who Should Attend…The Team of four • 1 regional planning leader from the K-12; • 1 regional planning leader from the community colleges; • 1 teacher/faculty from the K-12; and • 1 teacher/faculty from the community colleges. • Question - What if I’m having trouble filling the four spots for my consortium? • Question – What if I’m not connected with a consortium, but still want to come?

  6. Who Should Attend (cont.) • Attendee should have an adult education background. • Currently working with and/or teaching adult education students. • Currently part of the AB86 regional planning effort (on the team). • Interested in participating in breakout groups.

  7. How Do I Register? • All primary contacts have been sent a link to the conference registration and another link for hotel reservations. If you are unable to reach your primary contact, please email us at ab86@cccco.edu. • Remember – two steps – conference registration and hotel reservation. • What you need to Register: • Grant Number • Consortium Name

  8. Travel Arrangements • Each attendee will need to make their own travel arrangements – airfare and/or car/shuttle, and hotel reservations. • Adhere to your organization/district travel policies when making travel arrangements. • The hotel will be paid for by AB86 for the night of October 6th. A credit card is required by the hotel to make reservations for incidentals.

  9. How Do I Get Reimbursed? • Each attendee must complete a travel reimbursement form. • Receipts and the completed form are to be submitted to the AB86 Office (Karen Baker: kbaker@cccco.edu ). • Travel reimbursement forms will be reviewed and approved for payment. • Each consortium fiscal agent will be reimbursed by the AB86 Office for each attendee. • The consortium fiscal agent will write the check to reimburse the attendee.

Things to Think About • Beyond 2015, what will be profoundly different in the adult education delivery system? • How do we improve what we are currently doing? • What do our students need from us? • How does the work we do impact California’s economy? • Can you deliver a 30 second “elevator speech” that warrants funding adult education in 2015?
