  2. Unit Conversion • Why convert? • Suppose you have a jar full of pennies and you count out 1565 pennies. You have 1565 cents-- but wouldn’t you rather know the dollar amount? • You just move the decimal over two places to the left. It is $15.65 but it represents the same amount of money
