9. Ideas-Advertisement brainstorm • The advertisement would begin with a close up shot of a tablet that displays the operating system in use, afterwards a hand slides across simultaneously with a quick panning shot and the screen slides and changes to a mobile endorsing the same Operating system. Afterwards the person saves a file and then the scene changes to an office in a workplace, which also uses the same windows 8 operating system. The camera then does a panning shot, which then turns into an extreme close up shot of a computer screen with the homepage of the windows 8 operating system. The screen shows the various features of the software such as syncing documents, pictures, and applications. In addition, the screen changes theme and colour with each feature it previews, colours that are used consist of vivid bright colours in order to engage and keep the audience’s interest. • Afterwards a ripple transition takes place and then switches to a blank screen; afterwards many words come to the screen as a montage in different font styles and colours (such as style, imagination, easy, friendly, etc). After the montage of words with the word innovation fades across the screen, after a while the screen fades and the logo fades in and remains stationary.

12. Evaluation • The logo has been designed to try to grasp the attention on any audience by employing the use of primary colours. The success of the logo depended on the ability to function properly on different forms of advertisement such as letterheads, business cards and other forms. Other criteria required to excel in, in order to effectively grab a targeted group’s attention is the use of aesthetics. By implementing bright vivid colours with a simple diagonal pattern within the logo, the created design appeals to the targeted audience’s senses and then convinces them to take at least a decent look at the products offered by the company of the logo. Additionally, the product mimics the product itself as it is simple through the use of only simple colours with no gradient and the fact that the symbol on the logo is only comprised of four quadrilaterals, the design reflects the product as windows 8 is easy, recognisable and at the same time attracts attention just like the created logo. Finally when deigning the logo, the used font was chosen as it shows the field that the logo is advertising which is a computer-based product. The chosen font perfectly represents electronics, as it looks similar to pixels, which are found in all electronics with a screen.
