  2. CC Refresher- • What is a CC: A Collaborative Community is a group of people who share common roles, responsibilities, and/or desired outcomes. Participants deepen their knowledge and expertise by sharing information, materials, and resources. These groups utilize focused action and shared leadership in order to work together to accomplish common goals. • Expectations/Outcome: Each LEA will review, revise, and/or develop a collection of meaningful procedures to meet the specific needs of the LEA for each of the five focus areas for implementation of IDEA.

Post Card Activity • Participants will work in triads (elbow partners) • Each triad will • Open Ziploc bags provided • Read each Post card • Reflect on information provided in post cards • How do each of these scenarios relate to your systems’ current level of implementation of services and supports for Students with Disabilities (SWDs)? • What thoughts do these post cards bring to mind about how to improve services and supports to SWDs in your system? • How does having clear and appropriate written procedures for data monitoring, IEP Meetings, IEP development/review and determination of educational placement impact SWDs? • Identify one word (each) to reflect how you feel having read and thought about these post cards and your own system • Write these three words on paper provided and be prepared to share
