  2. Stuff to Bath with • Towel • http://www.discoverytrekking.com/ultralite-backpacking-towel • Washcloth • Soap : hotel samples… soap leafs… bar in a ziploc • Shampoo: small bottles… < 3 oz for carryon

  3. Liquids • To carry on: • 1 quartsize see through ziploc bag (use a freezer weight bag with your name on it) • pack anything you can’t live without of 3 days • each item 3 oz or less • gels, creams, liquids • To check: • Anything except aerosols (shaving cream usually makes it through ok)

  4. Batteries • Rechargeable batteries • - keep in your carryon bag • Alkaline batteries • - if you are taking quantities (more than 4…) place in your checked luggage • Not TSA listed but experience shows rechargeables get stolen and alkaline batteries in quantity get confiscated by TSA

  5. Clothing suggestions • Jackets: • Waterproof • Light weight • Sweater or sweatshirt • Shoes: • Closed toe for industry tours (clean gym/tennis shoes are fine) • flip flops for showering and the beach • a pair to get muddy and wet (and a sack to place them in for travel) • Hats: • no hats for touring plants • hat for sun is optional for non-touring times

  6. shirts • Two polo/collared shirts • Several casual shirts (no logos other than OSU) • No wife-beaters….no skimpy tank tops • Dr. Jones is bringing: • Two polo shirts • 8 tee shirts • one soccer long sleeve jersey

Pants/shorts • Jeans or casual pants • no holes…no rips…no frays…no patches • Slacks and khakis 1 or 2 pairs • Shorts….not for industry visits • no holes…no rips…no frays…no patches • modest lengths (remember the fingertip rule????) • Skirts/skorts/capris • fine for girls • dresses and skirts are not suggested for industry tours where we will be climbing or hiking Dr Jones’ list: Jeans: 2 pr Khaki or light weight material/travex: 3 pr Shorts: 3 pr Skirts or capris: 2
