PORT OF MURMANSK IN THE INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT CORRIDORS Port of Murmansk • The deep-water, nonfreezing water area protected from rough waters; • Free access into the world ocean with rather small intensity of navigation; • Close location of the Murmansk transport hub to the European and American markets; • Possibility to use international transport corridors viaNorthern Sea Route, Trans-Siberian railway and transport corridor «North-South»; • Reliable connection of Kola Peninsula with the industrially developed regions of Russia by railway and road transport means; • Port of Murmansk is directly closed to perspective fuel and gas fields by the Arctic shelf; • Deeps of the Kola Bay make it possible to render services to the vessels with deadweight of more than 300 thousand tons.
